Experience suckler cows, calves and bulls up close and learn more about suckler cow husbandry.
Switzerland is a land of pastures, with 80 % of the usable alpine and agricultural area being grassland. Using pastures for suckler cow husbandry is sustainable, ecological and resource-saving. Meat from grass is species-appropriate and animal welfare-oriented.
There are 38 beef cattle breeds in Switzerland: from A for Angus through Charolais, Limousin and Simmental to Z for Zebu.
The calf lives with its mother. Suckler cows benefit from grazing or access to an outdoor exercise area on a daily basis.
We stand for the promotion of suckler cow husbandry!
After birth the calf stays with its mother in the stall or in the pasture. From their mother's milk and later from grass and hay, the calves produces first-class gourmet meat.
